There is no safe time to wait after drinking before driving. The only way to avoid getting a DUI is to not drink and drive. Even if you wait an hour or two after drinking, your blood alcohol level could still be high enough to get you arrested. If you have been drinking, call a taxi or ask a friend to drive you home.
